Julia Buenaventura Ph.D. in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Master's Degree in History, Criticism and Theory of Art and Architecture from Universidad Nacional of Colombia. She carried out her post-doctoral research at the School of Communications and Arts of ECA- University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil where she was a postgraduate professor. She is currently a professor at the Universidad de Los Andes and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia and she is a contributor to ArtNexus magazine (USA and Latin America). She is the author of the books “Polvo eres: El Correr del Tiempo en María Elvira Escallón,” (Ministry of Culture of Colombia 2015) and “En Primera Persona: Seis Pasajes Sobre Feliza Bursztyn,” (Department of Culture of Bogotá 2019.)
